Out of the box, the MOJAVE GROM 223S BLX comes with a 2S LiPo battery, which gives it a maximum speed of around 35 mph. This speed is more than enough for beginners and intermediate drivers to have fun and feel the excitement of RC bashing. We noticed that the brushless motor provides consistent power, making it feel very responsive when you hit the throttle.

For more experienced drivers, the real fun starts when you upgrade to a 3S battery. After swapping out the 2S battery for a 3S LiPo, the truck easily reached speeds of over 50 mph. It felt incredibly fast and agile on the track, handling jumps and sharp turns with ease. 

Handling and Control

One of the standout features of the MOJAVE GROM 223S BLX is its Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). This feature makes it easier to control the truck, especially on tricky terrains like loose dirt or gravel. With DSC activated, the truck automatically corrects its steering when needed. We tested the DSC on various surfaces, including dirt tracks, rocky paths, and even grass.

The MOJAVE GROM 223S BLX is designed to take a beating. We tested it on rough terrains, including rocks, dirt, and even a few jumps. The composite chassis held up well, and we didn’t experience any noticeable damage after hitting rocks or landing hard from jumps. The oil-filled shock absorbers also did their job, absorbing impacts and keeping the truck stable during bashing sessions. The metal gear drivetrain is another highlight.

We also tested how easy it is for beginners to get started with the MOJAVE GROM 223S BLX. We found that we could get about 20-25 minutes of driving time per charge, depending on how hard we pushed the truck. When upgrading to the 3S battery, the runtime was slightly shorter due to the increased power. 

The USB-C charger included with the truck makes charging quick and easy. It’s a great feature for those who don’t want to spend extra time.
