Arrma Felony 8s Design
Arrma Felony Body
There is no doubt that you’ll agree with me if I tell you that the Arrma Felony body and design is one of the best designs in the Arrma RC cars if not the best. Isn’t it?
This RC car will get your attention especially if you’re obsessed with drifting street cars and classic tuned cars. You’ll fall in love.
The Arrma Felony body comes in two colors. Black and orange. Also, it does come with 4 clips to fix the body on the chassis.
The front
As you see, the Arrma Felony 8s comes with a classic design that is inspired by the Mustang Hoonicorn, but, with some modern design updates on the body.
Things like the LED light stickers, the big bumper with its air splitter, as well as the grill where you have the Arrma logo on the side just like real badass supercars!
The front of the car especially the front bumper is full of small details that will blow your mind. Unfortunately, the LED lights and the front grill aren’t real. If they were, that would be another story.
On top of the hood, you have the part that is presenting the symbol of super classic cars which is the air intake. It’s fake of course, but, it gives you a better look at this RC car.
This air intake is included in the box, so don’t expect to be on the car once you take it out of the box. It’s up to you to add it or not.
In addition to the air intake, other small accessories come in the box as well which you can use to customize your RC car.
Other than that, there are a lot of other small details that you’ll enjoy discovering yourself. I’m not going to spoil everything.

The Rear
Concerning the rear end of the Arrma Felony 8s, it’s interesting as well.
The first thing that can grab your attention is the huge spoiler in the back. That spoiler can be removed or you can just leave it there.
Some people like it because it adds more stability, others don’t because they see that it doesn’t play well when it comes to aerodynamics since it increases the drag.
In the end, you can try to drive the Arrma Felony 8s with and without a spoiler to see which one is most convenient for you.
In case you remove it, you’ll find another small spoiler that will as well help with the aerodynamics.
Another great thing about the Arrma Felony 8s is the double exhaust that looks amazing in the middle of the rear bumper.
Under that, you’ll find a huge air diffuser. These aerodynamic parts are helping with the stability of the car, so don’t underestimate their existence!

Arrma Felony 8s Chassis
One of the most important things about the Arrma Felony chassis is the low ground clearance which helps a lot with the aerodynamics.
When it comes to the chassis structure, it is the same platform as the infraction V2.
Like the infraction, the Arrma Felony 8s comes with a brushless motor and double batteries. You can use 4s Lipo batteries or 6s Lipo if you want to go at full speed.
In comparison to the Infraction V1, the Arrma Felony 8s got some great updates on the electronics. However, in comparison to the Infraction V2, it’s almost the same.
This means that the features that the latest infraction has are the same as the Arrma Felony 8s has as well. That includes even the adjustable body mount which allows you to elevate the body from the ground.
Most of the updates that the Felony has is from the Spektrum parts like the ESC, the motor as well as the fan, and the heat sink.
Other than that, with this high-speed RC car, the chassis should be able to withstand and handle the pressure of the speed with its metal plate on the bottom, especially in a case of a crash.
The Arrma Felony chassis is so reliable! Our friend Brett from Amain Hobbies crashed its Arrma Felony 8s right into a curb. And the surprise was that there was minor damage just in the air splitter!

Arrma Felony Tires
For such a fast beast, tires are some of the most important parts that you should take care of not only to have the best performance but also for the safety of your RC car.
The Arrma Felony 8s does come with the great Arrma Dboots Hons that withstand a lot of speed and drift pressure.
Also, to increase the drifting performance and give you a better drifting experience, the rear wheels are taller and wider than the front ones.
Now, all you have to do is to push the full throttle and enjoy your drive!

Arrma Felony 8s Performance
The Arrma Felony is well known for its high performance and speed that can reach more than 80mph!
This RC beast comes with a Spektrum® Firma™ 4074 2050Kv Brushless Motor and a Spektrum® Firma™ 150A Smart ESC. By adding 2 3s Lipo batteries, you can reach up to 65 or 70mph.
To reach this speed, all you have to do is to add 2 3s Lipo batteries after getting your RC car out of the box. Just like that, so easy!
But, to reach 80mph, you should change the gear. Don’t worry, it’s not complicated, it does come with the Arrma Felony 6s in the box, so you don’t need to get confused in choosing which one to buy.
If you change the pinion gear, you’ll unlock the ultimate power the Arrma Felony 6s has. Then, you can reach 80mph.
By the way, as Brett said in the video above, each pinion gear has its function. The one that comes as a stock with the RC car can be used for bashing and drifting.
On the other hand, the pinion gear that can increase speed should be used only for speed. No bashing! Otherwise, you risk burning the electronics of your expensive Arrma Felony!
All that we did right now is talk about the stock Arrma Felony!
But, if you’re an expert and you want to have more speed and excitement, you can tune your RC car more and reach imaginable speeds!
Still, there is something that may concern some people! It’s the gearbox! Let me explain…
As mentioned earlier, the rear tires are taller and wider than the front tires. If you don’t know, this is not something that was there just to make the car look cool!
There is a reason behind that. It’s the gearbox. The rear gearbox is different than the front gearbox.
The problem remains if you’re looking to use aftermarket tires since they don’t provide the sizes of the rear and the front tires.
However, if you’re using the stock tires, or even if the stock is broken, you can always get the same with the same size for the front and the rear. Click the button below to check those tires:
In addition to that, there is no reason for you to change the tires since the stock ones are perfect and powerful to handle the pressure this car put on them.
Overall, the Arrma Felony 8s is almost a perfect RC car in terms of design and performance. Still, these two can’t be perfect without a system that controls them.

Arrma Felony 8s Systems
Active Vehicle Control (AVC)
For such an RC car with high speeds, a system that helps the driver with control is highly recommended to avoid fatal accidents especially since we talk about an 80mph RC beast that you have within your hands!
One of the best systems you have on the Arrma Felony 8s is Active Vehicle Control (AVC). This system helps you with turning your wheels right and left automatically whenever the car slides and loses control.
If the car is sliding to the left, the wheels turn automatically to the right, and so on.
The great thing about that is the fact that you can even control the degree of interference of this system using your remote control. It’s useful especially if it’s your first time driving this RC car.

Remote Control
Other than that, the new update of the radio system from Spektrum is so great.
The remote control of the Arrma Felony 8s is the same as the one on the Infraction. The same function, the same size, and the same technology (Spektrum® 3-Channel DX3™ 2.4GHz DSMR)!
With this new update now, you can control your RC car from a bigger distance while having a lot of info about it within your hands.
Here is a cool thing about the Spektrumremote control, you can see the battery level of your RC car through it. Isn’t that amazing?

Spektrum Dashboard App
Here is another cool thing you need to know…
You can now see a lot of info about your RC car on your phone using Bluetooth. This includes the motor temperature, the actual speed, the top speed, as well as more and more info.
To get this feature, all you have to do is to install the Spektrum Dashboard App, connect it to the remote control using Bluetooth, and there you go!

Actually, for such an RC car, there isn’t something annoying about it.
The only thing that I wish it has is the real headlights. Those LEDs, if they were real, will be even cooler.

So, Should You Buy It?
Having the Arrma Felony 8s or any RC car that can go at high speeds over 60mph can be good and bad at the same time.
If you’re an expert and have some experience with high-speed RC cars, then you shouldn’t worry about the Arrma Felony 8s. Still, it will shock you. You can control it after all.
However, if you’re a beginner and this is your first RC car, then you should take it seriously. You might hurt yourself or someone if you’re not careful with it.
Even as a beginner, you can still buy it as long as you don’t use the second pinion gear and go with high speeds.
What about kids? Can you buy the Arrma Felony 8s for your kid?
Not! I wouldn’t recommend that. The reason is that kids don’t know how to control the vehicle yet. All they do is push the full throttle, which is dangerous in the Arrma Felony 8s case!
