Yes, you’re reading that right. The Arrma Limitless is the fastest Arrma RC car if not the fastest RC car in the world.
By the way, this is not the fastest production RC car like the Traxxas XO-1, it’s the fastest RC car. Why? Because the Arrma Limitless is not a ready-to-run RC car.
It doesn’t come with all the pieces together, you should add them. Don’t worry, we will walk through more details about this RC car.

Arrma Limitless Design
Arrma Limitless Body
There is no way you can tell me that there is a better-looking RC car than the Arrma Limitless.
First of all, it’s a formula 1 RC car which is already cool and hard to ignore.
Second, the engineering behind the Arrma Limitless is not done for an RC car it’s done for an RC car that will run at +120mph, the lines, the edges, and the body construction are all adding a major value to the beauty of the Arrma Limitless.
The Arrma Limitless body isn’t normal this body is so thick and rigid. It doesn’t fully come out, and the front part can’t be taken off.
This body has been carefully built since it is so important for aerodynamics. These physics rules can make a car go faster or destroy it with one simple mistake.
The front part that is attached to the chassis is built as a front diffuser and at the same time as a shield for the front shocks that are popping out of the body.

The Rear
In the rear, there are two holes built in the body to allow the air that enters the body to leave without an impact on the Arrma Limitless performance.
In addition to that, next to the holes, they have built an included spoiler to use that air coming out from the holes as a tool to add more downforce which is super cool.
We can’t, of course, ignore the gigantic spoiler included in the chassis. That spoiler isn’t acting as a spoiler only, it does include a diffuser to the flow of the air which is only the second one since the principal diffuser is in the chassis.
The body doesn’t come with any skids or internal cage, it does come through with 3 clips to fix it on the chassis. One in the front and two in the back.
So, overall, the Arrma Limitless body is not like anybody that you can just go and add to your RC car, it’s well studied and every single detail is there for a reason!

Of course, you can! you can buy a different one, or you can even have your own Arrma Limitless custom body!

Arrma Limitless Chassis
First of all, the first thing you will see when you open up the body and see the chassis is an empty Arrma Limitless chassis.
How’s that? Well, if you remember in the introduction, we mentioned that the Arrma Limitlessisn’t a Ready-To-Run (RTR) RC car.
It does come with essential parts like the differential, the shocks, and the wheels while you the driver has to choose the other electronics which are mainly the source of power.
The parts that you should add are the metal gear, the steering servo, the ESC, the motor, the pinion gear, as well as the controller, the receiver, and the Lipo battery.
All these parts are yours to choose from. And choosing them decides the performance of your Arrma Limitless. This is why you better be an expert and have some experience with RC cars.
The Arrma Limitless chassis has a low ground clearance. You don’t have to worry about cracking or bending it because it is supported by a thick layer of metal that can support that high speed.
This is not the only support though, this chassis is supported by a central bar from the front to the back to make the chassis more rigid and stronger.
But here is the thing, if you’re familiar with Arrma RC cars, doesn’t this chassis look familiar?
Yes, you’re right, this is the same platform and the same chassis as the Arrma Infraction. It’s the same, all they added is that front part of formula 1 and the big spoiler in the end.
Up to now, everything we’ve seen about the Arrma Limitless chassis is great. But, here is a cooler thing…
In this RC car, you’re not supposed to follow the rules that the chassis is giving you. What I mean by that is you don’t have to install the parts in the places where they should be installed.
You can change the places freely. Do you want to install the motor in the place of the battery while moving the battery to another side? You can do it!
Do you want to install that part in that place? Go ahead and do it. This freedom that you have is thanks to the ability to be modified using the screws under the chassis. With these screws, you can modify the whole chassis.
This is the great thing about this Arrma Limitless, it makes you creative.
You can see on the internet the different setups that people make for their Arrmas and get inspired by them.
This way, you can have your RC car. It’s unbelievable!

Arrma Limitless Performance
We all know how strong the Arrma Limitless is. You can search YouTube and see how people can breach imaginable speeds with that thing.
But, as mentioned before, this RC car doesn’t come with specific parts to give you that exact metric of how powerful it is. You decide its performance and speed.
It’s not easy though. You have to search for the different parts that we mentioned before and make sure that they’re compatible and can work together smoothly. Otherwise, a burnup might happen.
The setup can vary depending on your budget and your goal as well. For example, the setup of a 100mph Arrma Limitless isn’t the same as the setup of a +150mph, this one required more time, money, and energy!
So, if you want to have this RC car and have no idea how to customize it, here is a small setup that we suggest for you to see how this works:

Check this Setup:
A 32Kg steering servo 7.4 v: this is a good choice if you want to have a steering servo that can last a long time. It is also strong, waterproof, and can handle the pressure of the speed. It’s not the fastest, but, it does the job very well.
2000KV Brushless motor: if you’re looking to save some money, you better take that motor. It won’t give you the best speed, you get what you pay for after all. But, it’s a great part that you can add to your Arrma Limitless.
If 2000KV is too much for you, you can try other motors with less power like the 1520KV motor.
Or why not go all out and try a 2200KV brushless motor and see what happens?
Concerning the ESC, this part has to be compatible with the motor. If you don’t know how to do that, it’s fine, you don’t have to worry about that you can buy a motor with its compatible ESC to avoid the headache.

The Arrma Limitless Remote Control
When it comes to the remote control and the receiver, you can choose from the different Spektrum receivers and controllers depending on the features you want.
You can have a controller with a receiver that supports AVC which is the Active Vehicle control that helps you keep the Arrma Limitless going straight ahead and prevent losing control.
Or, you can go with a normal controller which can do well also.
However, I prefer the AVC receiver since it won’t only help you, but, it will protect your RC car as well from crashes resulting from losing control.
The recommended one is the DX5C remote control, it does come with a lot of features including a built-in screen. It comes with a receiver as well.
So, as you see, the setup you choose depends on the performance you want to reach in your Arrma Limitless as well as depends on the budget you’re willing to spend on this RC car.
Some people don’t spend that much and enjoy having a medium-performance RC car while others spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of tests. Some of them are wins, others are losses to give you in the end a masterpiece that can beat even a real Formula 1 car like this one in the video below:

Well, we can talk about the Arrma Limitless upgrades. What upgrades?
Upgrades for the existing parts that come with it in the box.
See? Sometimes, the parts that you come up with are way too strong than the parts that are already there.
For example, if you think that the wheels will burn quickly because of the high speed you programmed your RC car for, you can upgrade to better ones.
You can upgrade to aluminum parts to harden your Arrma Limitless which is great.
Other than that, there are no limits to upgrading this RC car! You’re free to go wild because you should!

Actually, for such an RC car, nothing is annoying about it since everything setup is by your doing, so if it annoys you, it’s because of you, just change it!

First of all, you should buy the Arrma Limitlessitself with the body and the chassis. It’s affordable since it doesn’t come with expensive parts, nothing really to worry about up to this point.
The rest depends on you, it depends on the cost of the parts that you want to add to your RC car. It can be some hundreds of dollars and can rise to thousands of dollars.
In general, this price point is good, especially for someone that has some experience and knows what it takes to build that RC car.
