The Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Design
Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Body
Some of the things that will make you go crazy are the bodies of the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast. These two are so similar, that it is hard to tell which one is which.
They both have the overall shape which is the pickup truck shape and they’re both Off-road RC cars.
There are some small differences though, that if you know them, the distinction will be easier for you.
The Front
When it comes to the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast body, they’re similar. However, some of the differences you can notice are the edges.
For the Outcast, the edges are sharper than the Notorious. They both have a classic design, but the Notorious is more classic because of those curvy edges.
Also, Arrma Outcast comes with headlights as well as a grill, they’re not real though. On the other hand, the Notorious comes with no headlights, just a big grill with the Arrma Logo in the middle.
In addition to that, both RC cars have a long front bumper with a plate which is a great detail.
On the hood, both RC cars have two clips each. The Arrma Notorious VS Outcast windows on the other hand are different. With the Outcast, you get one window, for the Notorious, the front windows are split just like ancient cars.

The middle and The rear
When it comes to the middle and the rear, these two RC cars are the same!
In the middle, there is a strong bar in both RC cars, you can use it as a handle, and it can be used as a shield to absorb shocks in case of flipping over.
Right after that, you’ll find the two other clips on each car, then there is the biggest part which is the spoiler.
By the way, they have the same spoiler with a small wheelie bar connected to it.
So, as you see, when it comes to the body, there are a few differences, but a lot of similarities.
Depending on your personal preferences, you can choose between the classic curvy design that the Notorious have or the design with sharp edges. Which Arrma Notorious VS Outcast design do you like? Let me know in the comments below!

Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Chassis
Regarding the chassis, I’m afraid to tell you the same story as the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast bodies!
They look almost the same with some small differences of course.
Here is the first big difference you should know before buying any of these two RC cars.
The Arrma Outcast comes with two types of chassis, the normal chassis comes with all the electronics, in other meaning, it’s a ready-to-run version. All you need is to unbox it, put in some batteries, and go for a run.
The other version is the EXB version which is cheaper than the previous one. You get an empty chassis and no electronics including the transmitter and the receiver. This means that you should collect your electronics and put them there.
Wait! the EXB version is missing only the electronics, the shocks, the suspension system as well as the other mechanical parts available with the chassis.
Usually, people who love to create their custom RC cars buy the EXB version. But the disadvantage here is that to build the whole RC car, you need more money!
On the other side, the Arrma Notorious comes only as a ready-to-run RC car, no EXB version available. Still, you can upgrade it and replace the parts as you wish, it’s easy to upgrade.

The Front And the Back
Regarding the front, both RC cars have the same front bumper, they have the same length, and maybe not the same shape on the sides. The Outcast front bumper has bigger edges unlike the one on the Outcast.
Also, the distance between the bumper and the suspension system is different. Actually, in the Outcast, that distance is bigger with some small braces which are not available in the other RC car.
When it comes to the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast suspension system, they have the same structure, even the same angle where the shock stands in the front as well as in the back.
They both have adjustable body mounts. They’re not Aluminum, they’re built-in plastic.
The same goes for the back including the rear spoiler and the wheelie bar.
The Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Electronics
Here is the thing about the electronics, the Arrma Notorious and Outcast have the same structure and placements. However, they don’t have the same electronics which can make a difference in the performance!
So, overall, we can say that the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast chassis is also like the body, there are almost the same.
The big difference that we already mentioned in the different versions of the Outcast. But, both RC cars have great chassis!
What about the Performance? Let’s check that out…

Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Performance
Before jumping into more details about the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast performance, let’s talk first about the different versions each RC car has.
Concerning the Arrma Notorious, there is just one version which is the 6s version.
However, for the Arrma Outcast, there are 4 versions including the one that we mentioned before.
The first version is the 4s version, then, there is the EXB version, then there is the 6s version, and then, the 8s version.
Now, if I ask you about the difference between these four versions, you may tell me the true power. But there is another important thing, it’s the size.
The 4s version is the smallest Outcast in the group followed by the 6s and the EXB that have the same size and there is the biggest elephant in the room, it’s the 8s.
If you’d like to know more about these different versions, check out our full review of the Arrma Outcast.
For the Notorious, it has the same size as the 6s Outcast. Since they have the same scale, we will take the 6s version as an example for this Arrma Notorious VS Outcast comparison.

The Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Handling
We all know that handling is one of the most important factors to buy an RC car especially if we are bad bashers or we love to go hard on these beasts.
One of the false assumptions that people make is if the RC car doesn’t come with Aluminum parts, then, it’s weak and can break easily.
Well, let me tell you that this is false, plastic and Aluminum have both their advantages and disadvantages.
For Aluminum, it is indeed much harder than plastic, however, it doesn’t have any absorbing ability. This means that the handling of your RC car is related to the ability of this Aluminum to handle the power of the shock.
Once the shock is harder than your Aluminum, you’re doomed, it will bend. But here is the great news, you can fix it back which is money-saving, but it’s hard sometimes to do it if the part is so small.
Whereas Plastic, it’s not that hard, but, it can flex and absorb a lot of shocks which is great.
Concerning the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast material, they come both with plastic and a few aluminum parts like the central bar.
Can they handle it well? They are one of the best RC cars in handling, just go wild!

Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Wheels and Tires
Do you know why the Arrma Outcast looks bigger and higher than the Notorious?
Yes, you guess well, it’s the wheels.
The wheels on the Outcast are higher and bigger than the Notorious despite having the same ground clearance as the chassis.
This doesn’t mean that the Outcast is better than the Notorious, they have the same quality and the same brand. They come with Multi-terrain dBoots BACKFLIP tires which are some of the best in the market.
But, a lot of people will choose based on the size of the wheels, some love big wheels, and others love smaller wheels. What about you? Which one do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below!

Arrma Notorious VS Outcast Transmitter and Receiver
As we all know, no matter how fast and powerful the RC car is, if the driver’s experience who is you is not that good, then, there is no point in this.
And this is where the role of the transmitter and the receiver comes. The transmitter, with its great features, will give you better control of your RC car.
While on the other hand, the receiver is the mother of all this experience, it is the one that responds to the transmitter.
In this whole Arrma Notorious VS Outcast comparison, what you’re about to read is the biggest difference between these two RC cars!
The Arrma Notorious comes with a Spektrum SR315 3-Channel Dual Protocol Receiver as well as a Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz 3-Channel Transmitter.
This transmitter is good, however, it doesn’t reach people’s expectations in comparison to the performance of this RC car (Notorious).
On the other hand, the Outcast comes with a better transmitter which is the Spektrum 2.4GHz DX3 3-Channel Transmitter and the Spektrum SR6110AT AVC Receiver.
This transmitter is one of the best ones in Arrma. There are others better, but, it is still a great one.
In comparison to the Notorious transmitter, the Outcast comes with a lot of features that will help you control better your RC car.
Some of these features are the AVC which is the Active Vehicle Control that helps you maintain the same straight direction and prevent losing control over the RC car.
You have also some features on the DX3 transmitter itself, like the battery level indicator as well as other qualities, you can check them in the full review of the Outcast.
Unfortunately, these features aren’t available in the SLT3 of the Notorious, however, there are some others like the Spektrum Dashboard App.
This option is available in both transmitters. It’s an app that you can install on your smartphone and connect to your receiver using Bluetooth.
With this App, you can see a lot of info about your RC car including the top speed, the actual speed as well as the temperature of the electronics, and more…
Of course, there are some other common features like the throttle limiter than limits your acceleration by 50% or 75% if you’re a beginner or you have a child that plays with it.
You can check more about the SLT3 transmitter in the full review of Notorious.

As I mentioned before, both RC cars come with mostly plastic parts. if you didn’t read that part, you can check it out, it will help you a lot with all your RC cars.
You can upgrade to the plastic or Aluminum parts which are the same. They fit the Notorious as well as the Outcast.
The upgrades are widely available and so affordable, so, you have nothing to worry about concerning the upgrades.
Those upgrades don’t include only the existing parts on the RC cars, but also some additional parts that you can add for extra protection like the carbon plate, the suspension arms guards against mud and dust, and more…

Honestly, they’re so close, so for most of you, the factor that will determine the winner is the price.
The Notorious is indeed cheaper. But do you know why there is that price difference between the Arrma Notorious VS Outcast?
It’s obviously because of the transmitter and the receiver!
