If you’re familiar with our Arrma RC cars reviews on our website, you’ll notice that most of them are not good at jumping and landing.
That’s because of the high pressure the chassis gets when landing, even if it is from metal or Aluminum, it’s just a matter of time before bending.
That’s why most people add another metal layer to strengthen their chassis.
The same thing goes for this RC car we’re reviewing today!
The Arrma Talion 6s is a not-good RC car for jumping. However, it has a super high speed by which you can go off-road without worrying!
So, how fast does the Arrma Talion 6s goes? Is it worth it?

The Design
Arrma Talion Body
At first glance, I’m pretty sure that you’ll confuse the Arrma Talion 6s with the Arrma Kraton since they have the same shape including the spoiler.
The talion looks even sportier than the Kraton though!
By looking at the shape of the Arrma Talion body, you will conclude that this is made for speed and that an aerodynamics-friendly design will help this RC car be faster and faster.

The Front
Other than the great design that the Arrma Talion body has, the front of that body is marked by that big bumper with “Arrma” written on it.
This bumper is covering the whole front body from left to right.
It’s indeed a part of the chassis, but, being in front of the body means that it is built for its protection.
Right above the bumper, there are the usual well-designed stickers from Arrma, the headlights, the air holes in the sides as well as the big fake grill in the middle.
This design looks a little bit minimalist, maybe like a new Audi or a Lamborghini (just maybe!).
On the top of the hood, there are two clips which are the traditional clips that Arrma make, I hope they started making clipless bodies like some other RC car brands. Still, they’re not ruining the look since they have the same color.

The Middle
All of this is great, but the better part is in the middle of the Arrma Talion 6s. Why? Because the window’s curve is so low, it’s almost at the same level as the hood which is crazy. No Arrma RC car that we reviewing on our website has this feature!
That’s what I call aerodynamics! This means that this RC car will get almost no resistance from the air when going at high speeds (for this part).
The windows aren’t real, they’re just stickers which is something we’re used to from Arrma, but it doesn’t matter since this is a speed RC car.

The Rear End
There are a lot of great details in the back of the Arrma Talion 6s with two clips.
But the major thing that will get your attention is the spoiler, indeed, it’s not a part of the body, it’s connected to the chassis.
The spoiler’s design is beautifully built, it’s divided into different parts and has a lot of lines in the middle.
Unfortunately, there is no wheelie bar connected to the spoiler like in the Notorious and the Outcast. Still, you can always get one in the aftermarket parts if you need to.

Arrma Talion Tires
Did you know that this RC car’s body is so low that the wheels are almost higher than it?
That’s crazy, but it’s helpful.
How is it helpful? Well, since the body is between the wheels, it’s protected by those tires.
Also, the Arrma Talion tires are the Belted multi-terrain dBoots® Katar tires which are high quality and you’ll have a lot of fun burning them!
The design of the wheels also makes you think that this RC car is made for speed, they’re almost closed with small holes in the sides.

Arrma Talion 6s Chassis
The great thing about the Arrma Talion 6s is not only the low body, it comes also with a low and wide chassis that helps a lot with handling especially at high speeds.
In addition to that, once you remove the body, you’ll see that the structure is almost the same as the other Arrma RC cars especially like the Mojave and the Kraton.
Of course, there are some small changes to the Mojave like the suspension system since this RC car is closer to the ground.
Also, there are a lot of Aluminum parts, especially the central bar that is passing along the middle of the chassis as well as the small bars supporting it. It’s an EXB version, after all, that’s what we would expect!
The shock towers also come with built-in Aluminum as well as the shocks. That will boost the reliability of the Arrma Talion 6s by far, now, you don’t have to worry about landing from jumps. And I mean by jumps long ones, not high ones!
High jumps are a little bit dangerous for the Arrma Talion 6s because it has a low-ground chassis, also, that chassis is made from Aluminum that can bend with a lot of jumping.
It’s indeed hard to bend because of the light weight of this RC car, but, you better avoid high jumps. Otherwise, other another metal layer to your chassis and go wild!

In the front, there is the bumper which is a part of the chassis as mentioned earlier, it’s not connected directly to the suspension arms, instead, there are some braces in between to help to absorb the shock in case of a crash to protect in the internal parts.
Other than that, it’s similar to what we’re used to seeing in the other Arrma RC cars, double suspension arms, and adjustable shock towers in case you changed the body.
When it comes to the rear, it’s the same structure with small changes, for example, there are no double arms.
Also, the shock tower in the rear is doing a multiple-role job like the assembly of the Aluminum bars supporting the chassis, it works also as a shock tower which is its normal mission, and at the same time, it’s holding the rear spoiler.
Other than that, the Arrma Talion 6s chassis comes with normal internal parts like the motor, the ESC, the servo as well as others. (More details in the performance section).
If you’re asking about the material of the chassis, it’s a 3 millimeters thick 7075 Aluminum chassis which is the same type for all Arrma army, it comes with a lot of screws that are connected to the different parts so that it would be easy for you to replace them or take them off.
If you want to avoid the headache of the chassis’s bending, you can always add another metal layer to support it and make it harder.
In general, this chassis is filled with engineering! The closer you get, the more details you’ll see, and the more stunned you’ll be! It’s just crazy!

Arrma Talion Performance
As mentioned earlier, the chassis of the Arrma Talion 6s has a low ground clearance which means that you will be able to go at a high speed without worrying a lot about losing balance and getting flipped over.
Also, even in sharp corners, you can still turn at a high speed with no flip-over. That’s the reason this RC car has been made for!
For the Arrma Talion 6s, it doesn’t matter where you drive, whether it’s off-road or on-road, you can fully enjoy it, especially in the speed test, if you love the speed of course.
The Arrma Talion 6s can achieve +70mph which is a high speed. To achieve this, it uses a group of electronics that are all from Spektrum, that includes the 2050Kv Brushless Motor, the Smart waterproof 4S/6S ESC, and the S652 Steel-Geared waterproof digital servo as well as the DX3 Smart DSMR® Radio, and SR6110AT AVC® receiver.
All these parts have a big role in making this RC car reach what’s reaching now!
Of course, the engineering behind the body and the chassis are also major contributors.
In addition to that, to reach this high speed, you need to add one 6s Lipo battery or two 3s Lipo batteries as well as the optional speed pinion gear that comes with the RC car in the box.
Other than that, all you need is to get it out of the box and go racing because this is a Ready-To-Run RC car.
You can reach 70mph on-road while you can reach a close speed to that off-road which is great in both cases!
Controlling this speed won’t be as easy as you expect without the help of the systems including the transmitter and the receiver!

Arrma Talion 6s Transmitter and Receiver
As mentioned earlier, the Arrma Talion 6s transmitter and receiver are the DX3 Smart DSMR® Radio and SR6110AT AVC® receiver.
This transmitter is one of the best transmitters you can have. It’s the same as the Outcast 8s which comes with a lit of features that help you control and know more about your RC car as well.
The first feature that we should shed light on which is the AVC Active Vehicle Control. This system helps you keep your RC car going in s straight line by turning the wheels automatically to keep balance.
This feature may not be a good one for On-road racing, but, it’s helpful off-road.

There are also some other features like the battery level indicator that shows you the level of the battery of your RC car.
You can adjust the wheels turning angle as well as the power of acceleration which are all important if you’re just learning.
By mentioning learning, the transmitter of the Arrma Talion 6s comes with the ability to limit the throttle to 50% or 75% depending on what you want. This way, you’re avoiding the danger of losing control over an RC beast that can go 70mph.

Arrma Talion Upgrades
As mentioned earlier, like the metal layer that you can add to the chassis and the wheelie bar that you can add to your spoiler, there are a lot of Arrma Talion upgrades.
You can upgrade everything from the Aluminum suspension arms, guards, aluminum motor mount, and shock towers as well as a lot of other parts.
In the end, you don’t need to worry about upgrading your Arrma Talion. It’s not hard at all!
Annoying Things About the Arrma Talion 6s
There are a lot of things that I like about the Arrma Talion 6s.
However, there are some other things I don’t like or I wish they were there!
For example, I miss the wheelie bar that I used to see on the other Arrma RC cars. It’s so important even in this RC car since it can accelerate instantly which makes the front wheels lift and lose traction.
Still, you can get an aftermarket one.
Other than that, the Arrma Talion 6s looks fantastic and powerful.

Great Things About the Arrma Talion 6s
There are a lot of great things about the Arrma Talion 6s, there are some great points that I would like to show you:
If you check the rear of this body, where the rear clips are installed, there is a great drawing there. That’s a lot of details there.
The low ground clearance that the Arrma Talion 6s makes it able to drift and handle even the sharpest corners with high speeds which is incredible.
In addition to these small details, the Arrma Talion 6s has everything you need for an RC car on-road as well as off-road.
